1. Welcome

At Jacko Finance, we believe finance should be straightforward, transparent, and tailored to your individual circumstances.

2. Who We Are

Jacko Finance is the trading name of Wairarapa Home Loans (2021) Limited, a New Zealand finance brokerage and intermediary.

We work with a panel of lenders and service providers to help customers obtain suitable finance solutions.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Jacko Finance does not lend money directly.

3. Our Role

We act as an independent intermediary between customers and lenders. Our services may include:

  • Assessing your circumstances
  • Structuring your application
  • Identifying suitable lending options
  • Presenting applications to lenders
  • Assisting through to settlement
  • Providing ongoing support where appropriate

All lending decisions are made solely by the lender. Approval is subject to lender criteria, affordability assessments, responsible lending obligations, and satisfactory supporting documentation.

4. Information You Provide

You agree that all information provided to us is accurate, complete, and not misleading.

You must promptly notify us of any material changes to your:

  • Income
  • Employment
  • Liabilities
  • Address
  • Contact details
  • Financial circumstances

If requested information is not provided, we may be unable to assess your application or provide our services.

5. Consent to Collection, Use and Disclosure of Information

You authorise Jacko Finance to collect, hold, use, and disclose your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy for purposes including:

  • Assessing finance applications
  • Verifying identity
  • Obtaining supporting information
  • Submitting applications to lenders
  • Managing customer relationships
  • Complying with legal obligations
  • Preventing fraud
  • Offering relevant products or services where permitted by law

If you provide information about another person, you confirm that you have their authority to provide that information and to authorise us to use it in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6. Credit Checks and Information Sharing

To assess your application, we may obtain and share credit information with credit reporting agencies including:

These agencies may hold information relating to:

  • Repayment history
  • Credit enquiries
  • Defaults
  • Identity information
  • Other credit-related data

By proceeding, you authorise us and participating lenders to access and exchange such information where reasonably required.

You have the right to access your credit information, request correction of inaccuracies, and contact those agencies directly.

7. Supporting Information Checks

Where relevant, you authorise us to obtain and use supporting information from third parties including:

  • Employers
  • Referees
  • Landlords
  • Accountants
  • Identity verification providers

for the purpose of assessing or supporting your application.

8. Bank Verification Services

Where authorised by you, we may use secure third-party providers to obtain bank transaction information or statements for the purpose of verifying income, expenses, and affordability.

We do not require or store your internet banking passwords.

We only access information reasonably necessary to support your application or related services.

9. Referrals to Third-Party Advisers

Jacko Finance may refer customers to third-party advisers for the purpose of providing advice or services relating to:

  • KiwiSaver
  • Life Insurance
  • Income Protection Insurance
  • Mortgage Protection Insurance
  • Other related financial products

Where you consent, we may share relevant personal information such as your:

  • Name
  • Contact details
  • Relevant financial information

with:

  • Insurance and KiwiSaver advisers
  • Other authorised providers from time to time

This is to enable those providers to contact you and provide advice, services, or information relevant to your needs.

You are under no obligation to proceed with any services offered by those providers.

Referral Fees

Jacko Finance may receive a referral fee, commission, or other commercial benefit where permitted if you engage a provider introduced by us.

  • This will not result in any additional cost to you unless separately disclosed.
  • You may request further information regarding such arrangements at any time.

10. How We Are Paid

In most cases, Jacko Finance receives commission from lenders when finance is settled.

This is generally not a direct cost to you unless specifically disclosed.

Any fees payable by you will be disclosed and agreed to in advance.

11. Introducers

If you were introduced to Jacko Finance by a third party, we may provide reasonable progress updates or outcome information where permitted by law and relevant to that referral relationship.

12. Electronic Communications

You consent to receiving communications electronically, including by:

  • Email
  • SMS
  • Telephone
  • Secure online platforms

This may include disclosures, notices, contracts, updates, and related communications.

You may request alternative communication methods where reasonably practicable.

13. Website Accounts and Security

If you are provided access to an online portal or account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details.

Any person using your authorised credentials may be treated as acting with your authority unless you notify us otherwise.

14. No Guarantee

Jacko Finance does not guarantee:

  • Approval of any application
  • Interest rates
  • Lender fees
  • Finance terms
  • Settlement timing
  • Lender decisions

All outcomes depend on lender assessment and circumstances at the relevant time.

15. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jacko Finance excludes liability for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from the use of our services or website, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time by publishing updated terms on our website.

17. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
